Popular comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner, Munawar Faruqui, found himself in the spotlight once again when he was detained by the Mumbai Police during a raid on a hookah bar in the city. However, the comedian's stint in custody was short-lived as he was later released. Following his release, Munawar took to social media to share his first post since the incident. In a selfie posted on his Instagram stories, Munawar appeared tired yet cheerful, captioning the picture with a simple "Tired & travelling." The time stamp indicated that he was departing Mumbai in the early hours of Wednesday, although his destination remained undisclosed.

The Mumbai Police cited violations of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, along with sections 283 and 336 of the Indian Penal Code, in booking Munawar and the others. Despite the initial detainment, they were eventually served notices by the Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg police and permitted to leave.
